Maral has a background in biology and psychology and neuroscience, and has completed both her Master’s and Doctoral degrees at McGill University. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow working on complex regional pain syndrome at Stanford University. Her research interests focus on the mechanisms and treatment of pain, as well as pain states in aging organisms. Maral is also trained in classical music (piano), speaks and writes six languages, and has experience working in various fields, such as teaching, marketing, modelling, etc. Her favorite activities outside work are reading, dancing, and playing video games.
Maral enjoys playing Fallout 3, the Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney series, Dear Esther and Cleopatra: Queen of the Nile.
